Monitor Obvious Drives to Improve Ratings
My faith in this site is being seriously impaired by the obvious drives by management to improve ratings with sudden flurries of positive reviews from a place I have lived at and know to be not all this. It was an okay place, but the wording of the reviews is so feature specific as to seem almost like advertisements for the place. How can I trust a site that doesn't make sure that the reviews are legit? I won't trust Apartment Ratings again until this situation is addressed and responded to.
We agree.
We have taken a strong stance against incentivized reviews and a practice called “Review Gating” as you described. Here is our public position:

We police the reviews submitted and will delete reviews that came from known review gating sources. We also watch out for new tricks.
Our goal is to make renting better, and games like these are not welcome on ApartmentRatings.com
