If the bed bug problem is that's severe what does throwing out their Furniture do to clear up the problem they only going to get new furniture in the bed bugs is probably still in the apartment and are you paying for all this furniture you throwing out the poor tenants have to buy furniture the best way they can if they want to lay on or sleep on anything it's not fair to the tenants to throw out their furniture and not Place more furniture in its place

I think the tenant should be given information on how to care for bed bugs how to care for their Furniture what to look for what type of mattress and pillow coverings to put over their bed what kind of sprays they can use on their own and having the landlord being responsible to have the bed bugs heat treated if that's the most effective way to get rid of them but to my understanding they can get rid of the bed bugs but the sprays doesn't bother the bugs waiting to be hatched something needs to be done about that and don't just come up to the tenants and throw all their furniture out with no notice show them how to care for their furniture and their belongings so that maybe they can help keep this bed bug infestation under control.

I am a home owner in the ST. Helena, Dundalk Area.
For the past 3.5 years I have been dealing with renters from PROGRESSiVE PROPERTY REAL ESTATE. . The tenants live next to me in a 3br townhome.. There are no less than 13 occupants living in this home. No One works! Every occupant receives some type of cash assistance or SS benifits. These people have have tortured our neighborhood and residents for much too long! I have personally called the police no less than 6 times for rioting, physical violent attacks on persons as far as beating a young woman with a lead pipe on my front lawn.THey refuse to keep clean their own residence as well as trash other peoples properrty. Several months ago, 13 people broke down my neighbors front door, entered their home and threatened her children. This neighbor of 5 years was so afraid that she litterally moved out last month for fear of harm to her famuly and home. Many elderly resiidents live here and are afraid to come outside due to the PROGRESSIVE residents sit, stand loiter the front porch and front of property 24/7, staring down neighbors with threatening glances. I have personally called PROGRESSIVE and spoke with the PM, Jill on sevweral different occassions. Jill advised me there is nothing she can do other than speak to the resident.THe next day one of the female residents loudly threatened to "kill a Fucking bitch" as I was getting out of my car returning home from work. She then proceded to advise me that she knew it was I who reported them! Yes, the management told the residents that I was the complaintent. They have been bed bug infested several times as they are now. At no time was I or the the neighbor on the other side advised of this infestation. Last week I was getting a red spotted, itchy rash all over my body, I thought perhaps this was a side effect from my recent radiation treatment, however, upon changing my bed linens as I do every week, I found bed bugs on my box spring dust ruffle. I have mattress cover on my mattress, hoever the bugs were still crawling up and biting me. I called Progressive to report this, and of course there was no emergency nimber to reach anyone, I left a very irate message requesting a return call as of now I still have not been contacted. I will be at there office first thing tomorrow morning. They also do drug deals day and night in front of everyone, cars pull up, a person walks up to the car, the deal is made and the car pulls away, a transvestite that also resides there has been seen turning tricks in the back alley. A car pulls up, she gets in the car, does whatever, gets out of the car and the car pulls away. I AM TIRED OF LIVING IN FEAR!!!. Please respond to me as to what other option I have to protect myself, my elderly neighbors as well as my neighborhood. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. -

I am a cleaning vendor for one of your Top Rated apartments in Kissimmee, Fl. Being a tenant for so long prior to me owning a business the first thing I checked (before price) was safety and cleanliness of the community. I'd ask the leasing person: Do you have roaches or any other pest? I know we live in the south but many times I walk out of a good deal house just because the odor of roaches. As a cleaner now I get to see the apartments 1st hand before tenant occupies, before the carpet gets shampooed ad it all looks clean, painted and ready for move in. At times we've seen a flea, a roach or other bugs but it wasn't due to the community being dirty and irresponsible with the pest control, but because the previous tenant. I have a couple of account in Central Fl and I know which ones are good and clean and which ones aren't. I won't expense the names myself but adding this category will allow others to see whether or not they'll want to settle in a place that will cause their belongings to become infested or their pet to get fleas or even worst their food being spoiled by creepy crawling bugs with all kinds of diseases like roaches.

VILLAGE OF PINES, 700 east Peckham Ln., HAS BED BUGS, THINK TWICE ABOUT RENTING ONE OF THEIR APARTMENTS. THEY HAVE CLARK PEST CONTROL BUT THEY CHARGED US $300 OF THE TOTAL COST OF THE SPRAY AND THIS IS NOT FAIR. WE DO NOT KNOW WHERE THESE BUGS CAME FROM AND THEY SPREAD FROM APT. TO APT. OUR LEASE IS UP IN FEBRUARY AND WE PLAN TO MOVE.

Dog pooh is becoming a MAJOR issue at apartment complexes. Tenants are transitory and so too is their concern to pick up after Phideau. Complexes are loathe to enforce dog-pooh policy because a tenant being allowed a dog on the premises increases revenue. So they rely on the snitch method - which is very imperfect - to manage what is really mangement's obligation, thus giving the impression that something is done about the problem.

With the rising bedbug epidemic, many potential renters want to know about previous/current bedbug infestations. I know this potentially harmful to apt. communities, but after throwing away most of my possessions (due to bed bugs) last year, I would have appreciated some warning that the ENTIRE complex was infested.
