Browse ratings by "people like me"

When users post their ratings, ask them what kind of renter they are (e.g. student, single professional, family with kids, retired, etc.) and then make it possible to filter reviews by these groups or see avg ratings by group.

I agree. I am a student for example but I hate parties and loud tenants and probably don't fit into any of the "groups" because it still doesn't determine personality. Personality supersedes all of those listed types. I can often tell from the comments when people are detailed. Many times they are. It does take more work but it's a good idea to give each poster his or her fair shake in reading the reviews.

While it seems like a good way to determine the factors behind a rating, I think that would be too subjected to stereotypes. People could end up assuming that because the posting was from a retired person that they are just old and grumpy or that a posting from a student is just young, dumb and inexperienced, or a family with kids are..... get where I'm going? Non of these are always true, but it could paint a negative image and false connect others with a stereotype of judgment.
