Please add option for reasons to remove posts.
Personal threats have been made to the employees, property and company through your site. We should have the option to have it removed for this reason.
Also, please give us a way to correct false information. I am all for people sharing but when it is outright lies about places it is not fair to the properties. In the last post for Bridges at Wind River, the compaintant states that the apartment is not yet rented and they say that it is and that we are stealing. I can assure you it is not yet we have no way to defend ourselves against these lies.
We offer a way to report reviews that violate our term. Click the “Report Abuse” link at the bottom of any page. We review all complaints and remove any information that violates our terms.
The majority of the time we just remove the violating information rather than delete the entire review. We don’t delete reviews just because an apartment complex asks. All requests are handled using the same criteria.
We only allow for one review per person per property. Multiple reviews aren’t accepted.

OP: I checked out Bridges At Wind River, i assume that it's the one in North Carolina? I also assume that you had the review in question removed since i didn't see any review that claims that the staff is stealing.
Nevertheless the last review by Renter0953 has went to great lengths to do their homework on BBR apartments and it has a extremely poor track record across the board. They were also very clear on the problems Bridges At Wind River has, along with being as polite as one can possibly be in this circumstance along with responding to other reviews in the same polite manner.
I also notice that you have a review 7gr8kids wrote stating that they want to stay, recommend the apartment yet they state, and rightly so, that they see no benefits for the increased rent.
You talk about "outright lies" yet the recent reviews seem to be extremely well thought out and polite, indeed you have 7gr8kids recommending the complex even though they're fed up.
This complex, and indeed the owner of these complexes, have a track record and it isn't very good. I would avoid your complex like the plague and feel pretty justified in doing so. I see little reason for your complaints but i respect that you are one of the very few that actually list the apartment in question for us to look at.

Unless the management can 100% prove that the former or present tenant is lying then the review should stay. Having the option to 'correct false information' gives each and every complex the ability to give their complexes a glowing review.
Frankly, it's bad enough that several complexes are quite obviously posting their own reviews to boost their ratings and disregarding the terms of use set up on this site with no repercussions for their actions.

Wouldn't it be easier to just not be nasty, evil, unscrupulous, lying, thieving scumbags with no business ethics.? If you screw people in their place of residence it is common knowledge that natural protective reactions are going to be induced. People are entitled to live in a safe place without being violated by their own landlords so wrongfully.
You're living dangerously..This is not a threat, but I know how angry and violated I felt, and I'm a good person with friends who can tell you I'm the most trustworthy, decent person they know, but here, what I've endured has brought out reactions that are primal in self protective mode. You can't get away with it for long before the wrong person is messed with, and someone WILL get hurt. I'm surprised you haven't had anything happen yet.. YET is the key word. No threats, just observing, with common sense and a clue about human nature, in general.
I would be afraid to work here because of what this company does to the very people that make their paychecks possible, while messing with ours. It's a very dangerous practice, and y'all should have an ethics course, and code to do business under, enforced strictly, if for nothing else, your safety and protection. Good luck, stay safe, and QUIT BEING THE SLEAZY SCUMBAGS YOU ARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One more comment to blue ocie... no manager comments should not be allowed! Sure the manager may be upset and want to defend themselves, but that could deter others from honest comments in fear of retaliation or dispute even though they may have a valid comment or complaint. I understand that it is upsetting and the natural human right to want to defend themselves is there, but you can't control it so much that you prevent the honest comments from being posted. If people are afraid to comment, there will be less comments meaning the site will loose it purpose. Less comments=less visits= no more apartment ratings.

Threats made against employees, property and company through the site should be flagged and reported for removal anyway. As far as correcting false information, I don't see a way to do that without violating free speech or playing judge. Who is to say the information is incorrect? Who makes that judgement? It could be a tenant that is upset and making a false statement to express anger or get someone in trouble, as well it could also be a bad manager or employee trying to cover their wrong doings. Either way, it's a he said/she said, so you can't correct such information. What has to be taken into consideration when you read the rating needs to go hand in hand with other factors such as mystery shops, tenant comments to corp, over job performance. Just because there is 1 or 2 bad comments slandering a manager does not make it true. If there numerous postings about a manager over a prolonged period of time, it could be likely that its more than just a pissed off tenant (or former tenant to that matter). After working in the rental industry for many years in the past, I can honestly say, I do enjoy this site and do not think that there should be an option for employees of an apartment complex to be able to remove posts or comments.

I agree.blue ocle. Landlords and employees should absolutely have the right to dispute any and all claims on this site openly. In other words, they should be able to say I manage this place or I work at this place and what has been said is absolutely false if that is indeed the case. As a matter of fact,if I was a landlord or employee and had the opportunity to do so I would dare folks to actually come to my apartment building and see for themselves what might and not be true. Taking people's word for it on this site, especially when they are anonymous,is most unwise. I am venturing to say that if this site does not develop more safeguards something tragic is going to happen and this site will be blamed just like social networking sites like MySpace have been blamed when something bad happens to a user. I think you all know what I mean. Sites like this have or should have a responsibility to make sure people are not being slandered or mentioned by name or position and in the process possibly being put in danger. It should make sure people are more so describing conditions at places rather than singling folks out for criticism. The latter could easily be slander, something for which people can and should obviously be sued. And,if this site cannot provide the names or identities of possible slanderers it could eventually find itself being sued instead. Instead of a person saying something like the manager is threatening, racist, and irresponsible they should be saying something like the place is badly run and anti-discrimination laws are being violated. Just like on your resume you should not say I,on this site people should not be allowed to mention managers or employees by name or position. They should be as circumspect as possible without being too vague. In other words, they should be required to exercise caution and good judgment and etiquette when posting. Take care.

Your rating comments are not true for our park. The comments seem to be coming from renters who were asked to leave because of drug use, non payment of rent or other unacceptable behaivor. A landlords response should be seen right next to comments.
