  2. Bring back the original scoring module.

    Requiring us to pay to respond to our reviews in order to improve our overall score is blackmail. Our properties all have very positive reviews and there is no need to respond to these reviews in order to improve our score. All of our properties scores have declined significantly as well as this has negatively impacted our overall ORA scores. Not to mention that all we see now is a big fat F in red letters. is So disappointed. Owner is considering hiring a lawyer as he finds this to be unethical.

  3. Old, dated reviews should be deleted because info that is several years old isnt helpful anymore

    There should be a time out when this website takes reviews down, because if I am thinking of moving to a place, I only want recent reviews. The info can easily change over several years. This is in both directions, a good place could turn into a rundown bad place in 5 years, and a bad place could be cleaned up and better in 5 years.

    We’re not the management company. Perhaps you want to make this into a review? Try searching for your community’s name on ApartmentRatings.com and then you’ll be able to leave a review there which will help your management company understand improvements they should make.

  6. Clean out old reviews

    I just recently visited Jasmine Woodland and Smyrna Georgia. They are recently Under New Management and I doing top-to-bottom renovations currently. Somebody who reads a review from 2012 could be deterred an issue that has since been remedied. Many reviews that I read regarding this complex are no longer issues and the property and the units themselves (are immaculate). In my opinion this place deserves more than a 3-star average.

  9. Allow users to enter demographic information about themselves when they comment.

    A 70 year old retired woman will probably have a different experience that a 22 year old recent college graduate. I just want to be able to see what kind of a person made a comment so I can see which comments better pertain to me.

  12. Have qualified managers in the industry post their review.

    Have credited managers post their rating of the communities we know what to look for. Residents really don't have a clue. It would be like a seasoned chef reviewing restaurants. In addition please check Cambridge Garden(Cinnamon Hollow) apts in West Covina,CA. There are 9 no for people recommending for someone to live there but they still have 100%.

  13. Get proof that someone was actually a legal resident by asking for a copy of their lease.

    I am a community manager in Fairfield Ohio and have read negative reviews from people that I know for a fact were not on any lease and just living with the resident. People should not be able to post a review unless they can provide proof of a signed lease.

  14. let new people to the site know that the reviews here are mostly negative.

    The idea for a site where people can freely express their experiences for potential renters to see sounds great! That's why I came here. However, after searching through some apartments, I found that the majority of the reviews always seem to be overwhelmingly negative. It's very rare to find an apartment complex with more than a 50% approval rating.

    It makes sense that people who have had an extreme experience are more likely to post a review of their apartment. Anger seems to be a stronger motivator than satisfaction. Out of curiosity I looked at the reviews for the apartments…

  15. create a site that will allow ex employees to rate management

    My husband and i lived in the complex he worked at. Mgr was very abusive. He put up with it because jobs are hard to find. She abused tenants too and he always made excuses for her. One day he finally had enough & quit. Both her and husband lied to umenployment & labor board. We are now sueing for ot, abuse, purgery. We are also going for them in civil court. Owner had lots of complaints & ignored, so him too. No vacation in 9 1/2 years. hes been gone for 7 mos & has had 3 employees that…

  16. Fix the roads! I went to the office a few days ago about very large pot holes in the streets .

    Repair them! The office said that they couldn't do anything about them until the weather got better. It has been in its 40's for the past two days!
