  2. Fix Apartment Search Function, gives blank Page

    When searching for apartments after to click search it just shows a blank page. I have changed the search options and still gives a blank page. Please fix this.

  3. Add crime data in addition to sex offender data.

    I was surprised to see that you have a sex offender data feature but no crime data. When I'm moving into a new neighbourhood, I want to know how many muggings, shootings, and robberies there have been in the past few years. I'm sure that sex offender data is useful for women and people with kids, but surely general crime data is more useful for all of us!

  4. wrong recommendation rate

    I think the way you calculate recommendation rate is questionable. For example, I saw a complex with 5 reviews where 4 of them say "No" for recommendation, but the recommendation rate is 100% (http://www.apartmentratings.com/rate/TX-Galveston-gulfwind-Apartments-formerly-Stewart-Court.html). This makes me think the recommendation rates are totally unreliable.

  5. can't get pictures to appear after uploading

    I can't get the pictures I upload to show up in my review. Someone else posted really bad pictures of their apartment and they not only showed up in their post, but at the top of the main page for the apartments! Doesn't seem fair that I can't post good ones! Please let me know how to get my pics up there!

  7. Update the login system!

    Every time I go to log in, it says incorrect password and/or username. I have to reset it, and every time I do I change it to the exact same password I've had since I made this account! That is the ONLY way to log in for me, to "reset password". This has been going on for about 5 months now, and no one has gotten back to me on the issue!

    Half the links I click on bring me to the home page! Connecting your links to the proper page is website 101. This site not recommended.

  9. make it easy to see all the reviews for one apartment on the same page!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    it is really annoying to click "next review" for every single review, rather than getting a quick glance at many reviews and reading the relevant ones right away. it also helps to see how many reviews there are for each property.

  10. Stop allowing management companies or building to manipulate the ranking via auotmated survery responses...

    I STRONGLY urge you to stop allowing management companies and/or buildings to manipulate their ratings on this site via their automated surveys, these are surveys that are driven by the management companies and buildings that are "incentives-ed" for the resident to give better ratings. These are influenced surveys driven by a third party that are somehow being allowed to mass post to your site. I think if you view the reviews from some properties you will clearly note a lot of two or three sentence reviews that immediately follow a detailed bad review (they are somehow releasing these to offset…

    We agree.
    We have taken a strong stance against incentivized reviews and a practice called “Review Gating” as you described. Here is our public position:

    We police the reviews submitted and will delete reviews that came from known review gating sources. We also watch out for new tricks.

    Our goal is to make renting better, and games like these are not welcome on ApartmentRatings.com

    Just let me look at what you have without requiring registration. You allow anonymous reviews, but ask/suggest that I register to view complete search results? That's a high barrier to entry has driven me away from the site.

  12. Apartment owners should be able to correct # apartments, pricing etc

    Your website has incorrect information about my building i.e. # of apartments, price per unit etc. There should be a way to correct that.

  13. read your agreement

    not sure why this site even has a user agreement, you can write what ever you want, false statements. criminal accusations, defamation of character just total bs and if management asked for it to be removed, they send you a bunch of stuff that protects the site but plainly says they allow none of the above... and they still wont remove it!!!!

  15. Please submit the most recent reviews in a timely manner. Especially a positive review. We have had 5 current residents post on your site

    It seems Negative reviews show up immediately, but positive reviews not very often. The Percentage Rating is not correct mathematically.

  16. clarify "noise" category

    I find there's confusion in the ratings... Perhaps if you renamed it "noise control" that would help people when rating this section. As it stands now, people rate it different ways.

  17. Please take action on obviously fake reviews not just flag them.

    Through apartmentratings.com, I rented an apartment since I saw so many good reviews of them. There were few very bad reviews but I decided to ignore them. After I moved out I gave them a very negative review and a few days after that, they posted an extremely fake review complimenting its staffs and their property.

    I know many users have complained about these fake reviews. But if you do not take proper action, many more users would believe in these fake reviews and rent their properties. I don't want good properties that do not fake their reviews to have…

  18. Update your server! The site is often down or goes to the wrong place.

    I access this site almost every day but get some sort of technical error. For example, I clicked on a review and it went directly back to the home page. It's often slow or the site is down. You need to make it more reliable for the people who depend on it heavily like me.

    The link states that pictures are available with the reviews but when you click the review there are no pictures at all. Please fix this.
